2nd Saturday Art Walk TM is a monthly event.

It takes place in the East Village Arts District,

Downtown Long Beach

every second Saturday of each month.

.Long Beach Masterpiece contest.

At 5:00 pm during each event anyone can submit one original art work to our contest. Submissions have to be delivered to Hellada Gallery, 117 Linden Ave. The artist has to be present at the Art Walk to enter. Panel of judges will select the most creative work called Long Beach Masterpiece. The judges are consistent of well established artists. All media are welcome. The winner will be announced at 6:00 and will receive $75.00. Take a look at the winners from previous months:

The Art Walk takes place around the streets of Linden Ave, 1st Street, Broadway, 4th Street, and Elm. Local art galleries and retail businesses such as gift shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops stay open until late evening. Linden Avenue is closed to the traffic and transformed into a street art fair by local artists. Two stages are dedicated to street performances and live music. Anyone is welcome.

2nd Saturday Art Walks hours are from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Admission is free.

Parking is available in nearby structures and parking lots for about $5.00/day or... free by chance on nearby streets.
The greatest attraction of this event is it's unique items and works of art in combination with paintings, sculpture, photography, crafts and hands-on workshops mixed with theatre and dance. The 2nd Saturday Art Walk offers kids, as well as adults, entertainment, education and an opportunity to create their own art master-pieces. How to become a participant?

Event is open to anyone who wants to present their own art works. Professionals, amateurs, art organizations and beginners

are welcome.
The participation donation is $40.00 for Artists, $50.00 for craft vendors, $75.00 and up for commercial vendor per 10' x 10' outdoor space. Click here for definitions of different booth types.

For the artist's booths we accept donations anytime.

For the arts & craft vendors the first day to register is 7 days before the event at 12:00 o'clock by calling 562.682-9735.

After you receive the confirmation number, please fill out the artist info card and send it along with the payment to 2nd Saturday Art Walk, 117 Linden Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802. First come first serve rule is applied. . Make the checks payable to 2nd Saturday Art Walk. The donation is not refundable rains or shines. We supply electricity for simple lighting. Artists bring their own set-up and lights (one power strip, 20ft extension cord and fluoresced lights please). We encouraged vendors to create an unique and original station.

Amplified sound and street performances have to be approved in advance. There is no fee for the performances.

Sale or serving food requires special Health Department permit and additional fees. Call the Long Beach Health Dept.
